With a strong educational background in Chemistry from the University of South Florida (USF) and less than a year of experience in the field of environmental management, Colin brings a unique blend of scientific expertise and practical knowledge to his work.
Colin's journey into the world of environmental conservation began at TCE . During his time at university, he developed a deep appreciation for the intricate relationships between chemical processes and the environment. His studies provided him with a solid foundation in understanding the intricacies of ecosystems, which would later prove invaluable in his career.
Following his graduation, Colin embarked on a career of Organic Chemistry and worked at a distillery. He eventually went into The hemp industry where he did worked and consulted for Hemp farms. Over the past year, he has worked tirelessly to promote and implement conservation efforts, with a particular focus on the preservation of Gopher Tortoise habitats. As a Gopher Tortoise Agent, Colin plays a crucial role in safeguarding this keystone species, which is essential for maintaining the health and biodiversity of its ecosystem.
Colin's day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting surveys and habitat assessments, Permitting and Mitigations and relocations. His work not only helps protect these unique reptiles but also contributes to the overall well-being of the ecosystems they call home.
